Local Policing

👮♂️ Working with Our Local Policing Team
At St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, we are proud to work in partnership with our local policing team as part of our mission to create a safe, caring, and compassionate community rooted in the teachings of Christ. We believe that safeguarding the wellbeing of our pupils is a shared responsibility, and by working together we help ensure that every child is able to grow, learn, and flourish in an environment of peace and respect.
Although officers are not based in school, they may visit to deliver assemblies, lead workshops, or support events that encourage children to make wise and responsible choices. These visits may cover topics such as personal safety, online safety, anti-social behaviour, and community awareness. Their presence helps pupils understand the important role of the police in serving the common good and encourages positive relationships built on mutual respect, understanding, and the Gospel value of looking after one another.
