Local Policing

👮‍♂️ Working with Our Local Policing Team

At St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, we are proud to work in partnership with our local policing team to help keep our school and wider community safe. The team plays an important role in supporting pupils, families, and staff by promoting safety, building trust, and offering guidance on a range of issues.

Although officers are not based in school, they may visit to deliver assemblies, lead workshops, or support events focused on topics such as personal safety, online safety, anti-social behaviour, and community awareness. Their presence helps children understand the role of the police and encourages positive relationships built on respect and understanding.

Parents and carers can contact the local policing team for advice or concerns related to:

  • Road safety and traffic issues near the school

  • Anti-social behaviour in the local area

  • Online safety and cyberbullying

  • Community safety and crime prevention

  • Support with safeguarding concerns
