St Mary's Catholic Primary School

School Nurse

🩺 The Role of Our School Nurse

At St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, we are committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of every child. Although our school nurse does not work on-site, they remain an important part of our wider pastoral and safeguarding team and can be contacted for a range of health-related concerns.

Parents and carers can reach out to the school nurse for advice on managing medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, or epilepsy. They also offer guidance on emotional wellbeing, hygiene, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices. The nurse supports care planning for pupils with specific health needs and can help coordinate referrals to other health services when necessary.

If you have any concerns about your child’s physical or emotional health, or if you need support with accessing health services, please contact the school office who will help you get in touch with the school nurse. Their expertise helps us ensure that every child feels safe, supported, and ready to thrive.
