Mini-Vinnies

At St Mary's Catholic Primary School, we are proud to have a thriving Mini Vinnies group that embodies the Gospel values and principles of the Catholic Church. As a Voluntary Aided school, we are dedicated to nurturing our pupils' spiritual, emotional, and social development, ensuring they grow into responsible and caring members of the community.

Our Mini Vinnies are a group of pupils who gather weekly to pray together and discuss ways they can help those in need, both within our school and the wider community. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus to "love one another as I have loved you," these young leaders turn their concern into action, making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Putting Faith into Practice

Meeting once a week, our Mini Vinnies members come together to reflect on the needs of those around them and brainstorm ideas to provide support. Whether it's raising funds to send children from deprived areas to school or organising charitable initiatives within our own community, our Mini Vinnies are dedicated to making a positive impact.

Through their involvement in the Mini Vinnies group, our pupils develop a deeper understanding of the Catholic Church's principles of compassion, service, and social justice. They learn to be responsible, hardworking, and thoughtful members of society, embodying the values that are at the heart of our school's mission.

A Welcoming Community

At St Mary's, we believe that every child is created in the image of God and deserves to be loved and nurtured. Our Mini Vinnies group is a testament to this belief, as it brings together pupils from diverse backgrounds and helps them work collaboratively to support those in need.

By participating in the Mini Vinnies, our pupils gain a sense of belonging and purpose, knowing that their actions can make a real difference in the lives of others. They develop essential skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity, which will serve them well as they continue on their educational journey and become active members of the community.

Conclusion
